Project Miriam is devoted to bringing full, accurate, honest information about the source of iggun-- Jewish women's marital captivity; how to prevent the abuse; and how to exit it. Iggun is not a sectoral, denominational problem (Orthodox), nor a geographic one (Israeli), but a Jewish one, and there are good solutions both to end the abuse and to construct good alternatives, based on other aspects of rabbinic law, for enacting and ending Jewish marriage, and to free agunot.
